Apple AirTag concealed in the engine of checked NYPD vehicle

An Apple AirTag was tracked down secret under the hood of an undeniable NYPD vehicle in Sovereigns, police sources said Monday.

The coin-sized GPS beacon, which associates with Apple's "View as My" network, was found on the squad car Sunday. The AirTag had been set in a little plastic baggie.

The finding provoked NYPD Head of Lodging Martine Materasso to help individuals to remember the division to be cautious in their examinations of checked vehicles, which should be finished when their visits.

Last year, Apple said the organization was working with policing stay away from "undesirable following" by means of AirTags.
